outreach or education programs.
WE ARE AN ORGANIZATION
Cedarville Band of Piscataway Indians, Inc was established in 1979 in efforts to combat intertribal conflict, state recognition, and use of our land.
WE ARE A BAND
We are the Cedarville Band or as some historians called us in the past Century the “Brandywine People.” This term speaks to our geographical location.
WE ARE A CLAN
We are the Wild Turkey Clan of our Nation. A clan is a family group held tight by a Matriarch and kinship.
WE ARE THE LAND
We are First Families of this land and we have called this land home for more than 10’000 years.
We are the land past, present, and future.
Our survival of colonization, eco-terrorism, and genocide is ENOUGH. We no longer wish to entertain or educate you on our culture. We want to live free of white violence, free of the generational trauma brought on by colonization, and freedom to heal our community.
400 years of fighting for our land, bodies, resources, language, ceremonies, and lives.
If you are reading this and wish to be in Right Relations with us RETURN THE LAND and pay land tax in true acknowledgement of you living on our bodies as a colonizer.
Healing starts at telling the true history of the land with many rivers.
It's that simple.
There is no more time for greed, privilege, and the lies of the White American Narrative. This isn't your country and this isn't your manifested destiny.
